Christmas Wishlist

For the first time EVER this Christmas I’ve actually had to think long and hard about what I actually need. When usually before December has even hit the calendar I’ve already got a wishlist larger than Pixie Lott’s co-ord collection (unbelievable I know..) What surprises me most about my lack of Christmas present inspiration is that I spend every day at work going ‘ahh I love this’, ‘oh isn’t that nice’, I’m surrounded by clothes daily in the Sunday Times Style fashion cupboard but I still can’t decide what I want for Christmas. But maybe this is just because the quality of high street clothing can never really compare to some of the sensational pieces that I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by.

But hey ho, no fashion intern will ever be able to afford the designer pieces that they collect in a mess on the bottom of the fashion cupboard, so here is my realistic Christmas #wishlist..

1. So first up on my Christmas #wishlist is this fake flower set from Next priced at only £8. I am definitely a girl who would always prefer the essence of real flowers but these are natural yet simple to brighten any room.

2. I first spotted these metallic silver shorts whilst waiting for a delayed flight in Gatwick airport – how exciting (ha!) I’d left Jack to attend to the bags and went to explore every shop that would pass the time. These shorts would look great on a night out with strap heels and a colourful clutch bag, but also have the capability to brighten up any slouchy jumper for the day.

3. Not only do I want these chocolates for myself but I also wish to buy these for all of my girl friends. Who wouldn't love a hint of pink to their chocolate selection!? These are slightly pricey at £22 from Hotel Chocolate, but I don’t doubt that these wouldn't put a smile on anyone’s face (lads included).

4. When finishing an internship at Next’s press office I received a shirt nightdress similar to this one. At first I was unsure, but I have lived and slept in that item ever since. Not only is it extremely chic and simple it’s also the perfect length and it's extremely comfortable to sleep in. This stripe shirt is £24 from Next and I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed if it’s on your list.

5. Yolke is a brand that was created by 2 lovely designers, one of which I had the pleasure of meeting at the Smartworks charity event. The pieces are definitely out of my price range so I can only wish that this set is in my stocking. Priced at £210 by Yolke this set will guarantee that even in those hangover days you will always look your pyjama best.

6. I believe that this festive party season is all about the incredible clutch bags that both the high street and designer paradise have to offer. I have fallen completely smitten for this silver moon clutch by Poppy Lissiman (£120), it will brighten up any LBD and would always be a conversation starter.

7. No other highstreet store offers affordable yet believable jewellery like & Other Stories – how fab is this statement ring!? This is only £12 and can’t be missed.

8. I have heard that this cocoa butter and argan oil moisturiser works wonders, it was featured in Octobers Cosmo which pushed me to give it a try and add it to my list. Hopefully this will be at the top of my stocking. By Cocoa Juvenate and priced at £20.

9. Everything about this polo-neck from Zara is incredible! Not only does it tick the stripes trend box for this season it also has a fab price tag of only £19.99. I haven’t yet found a jumper to beat it, and if Navy isn’t your first option it is also available in red and black.

10. I've recently discovered this lipstick from Urban Decay and personally this is a great colour. It’s perfect for any day or night situation and I would love another one for Christmas just so I don’t even risk the chance of running out.

11. Yes, that is another & Other Stories ring (£17). This could be worn on its own in the day or alongside several other gold purchases at night.

12. My bed is currently covered in several cushions (despite my boyfriends best efforts to  banish the lot), but I couldn't help but add this cushion to my Christmas list. My bedroom attire is grey florals and gold trimming so I’m sure this decorative cushion from Next (£14) will fit right in..

13. Yet another Next favourite of mine are these fun slippers (£14), perfectly warm but yet also slightly comical for the Christmas season. These would also be appealing for any age range for a last minute emergency buy.

14. This shirt from Topshop (£38) has been one of those items where I've nearly snapped and bought it so many times, but instead I've held back and kept it aside for my Xmas #wishlist. I have asked for this shirt in a size 12 so that it will be long enough to wear as a dress with over the knee boots.

15. I am completely obsessed with my room smelling amazing and this room diffuser from Next will do just the trick, with it also only costing £12 it will last much longer than any candles could.

16. I am definitely a ‘hat’ kind of girl, and for some reason any hat suits me – always a plus! This grey fur bobble hat is a massive bargain buy at only £12 and will go with nearly anything in my wardrobe.
